Development

  • started rolling back to tummy properly 6 mo 1 week. Rolled tummy to back a few times as well and now does it accidentally.

  • Started pivoting 6 mo 1 w.

  • Scoots since 6 mo 3 w, but when it doesn't work, he is frustrated.

  • Sits with support.

  • Started scooting one day after turning 7 months old.

  • Started babbling bababa, mamama, mämämä on the 7 mo birthday.

Feeding

  • Started with solids with Rapley but we quickly added purees as well.

  • Has tried many different foods by now. Likes his porridge the most, but also carrot and banana and watermelon. I gave him spaghetti and he spent quite some time trying to figure out what it was!

  • Gets 4-5 bottles of 200 ml per day (night feed, if it happens, is 120 ml) and one of those bottles is expressed breast milk.

  • Still pumping 4-5 times per day (total of around 180 ml per day).

Sleeping

  • stopped the dream feeds quickly after his 6 mo birthday. Will sleep from 19-4 am or several times also until 6 am. He has slept up to 10h50m without waking up. Sometimes he will still wake up and be patted to sleep or need a bottle (from 4 am).

  • I stopped using the Love to Dream sleep bag and he sleeps in a newborn Puckababy (hands in the mitts).

  • Can fall asleep on his own, this having been proved when his dad locked himself out of the house by accident, but mostly needs to be patted to sleep

  • Can connect the sleep cycles more reliably (maybe 70% of the time).

  • Has slept past 45 m mark in the stroller as well but stroller naps are still sadly shorter than crib ones

  • Wake window 2 to 2,5 h but sometimes looks like he needs even a little longer time. 2 naps per day haven't worked out great though.

General

  • Still has 2 teeth

  • Loves: the hysteric noisy toys, looking at the trees and the sky and of course the big sis. They have greatest time together (she is great 99% time, but sometimes, when tired, will complain about him hitting her or be a bit jealous).

  • I was away a night first time ever from him for one night due to a course in Utrecht.

Statistics
