O 23 months
Important things
he's a fun little guy, our little buddy, he is social but can play alone still. Loves cars, trucks and trains, everything with wheels!
we went to Canada for 4 weeks and it was fun but tough due to jet lag and needing to have him nap in the stroller.
likes his car book very much and wants to bring it everythere, also wants to carry his cars everythere. Everything becomes a car (piece of pasta, a little towel, food etc). Games vary nicely. Likes to paint and do little crafts too.
can be very upset when waking up
Speech
words are coming in thankfully but not quite as fast as we would like. He understands everything though. Seems to be frustrated when he can't make himself understood.
Words: tai (cat), ka (cat), nänna (about his sister), kukku(s) (it fell, his first verb), aua (dog), cow, okou, auto, mama, dada, ba (ball), tadaa, dai (bye), ai (pai), nee, rrrr (for the car), tuttu, ma (more), die (this), ...
Using the words more than the months before, more is in everyday practical use.
Motor development
very physical, likes to run, jump, slide, rides his tricyle and his little car, throws the ball
fine motor skills: holds the pens/markers, likes to color, of course not long and not precisely :)
likes to build with duplo and can do this nicely
likes to play with sand, playdough, water very much
Sleeping
sleeps 1 x day, goes to bed around 7pm, but can also sometimes skip his nap, especially at daycare. Apparently doesn't sleep in the car or in the plane... Naps in the stroller on the go.
sleeps in the crib in a sleeping bag, wants to have his car book (R. Scarry), water bottle (doesn't use it) and his bunny with him. We didn't have the white noise now but it seems to help so we have it on again.
after the vacation we went through a hard period with sleeping and needed to have him CIO
Eating
still likes to eat most foods, but has had a taste of tasty sweet things. His favorites are sauces of all kinds and fruit for sure. He likes to have everything his sister has.
