Little O is 15 months old now.

Important

  • He started saying okou before Christmas and then "die/didi" and "allo" during the Christmas holiday.

  • Has 14 teeth now, the 15th and 16th one coming through now.

  • Is way more alert and active now.

  • We went to Estonia for 10 days during the Christmas holiday and traveling with him is definitely more challenging than it has been before, as he doesn't want to sit still in his stroller like he used to. One night at the hotel he was overtired and had a very hard time falling asleep.

  • We switched daycares for a closer one and he has been doing there for 3 weeks now. He seems to be liking it and also sleeps longer there than he used to. They go outside with the little ones.

  • We had a well-child visit and his weight is still not high, so the advice was to give some extra fats.

Eating

  • No bottles any more, he started refusing the last one after the Christmas break.

  • He eats baby porridge in the morning (has had some trouble with it last couple of days), a fruit for a snack, a warm lunch mostly (unless we are rushing at home and he gets a peanut butter bread), then some snacks again (cracker, fruit), and a warm meal, sometimes followed with Greek yoghurt.

  • He loves grapes, blueberries and mandarins, regarding warm food he eats pretty much everything (is not a fan of mushrooms and beans) but prefers things he can eat on his own. He eats a warm meal at daycare and likes it very much.

Sleeping

  • Naps mostly 1 time a day now (transitioned already in December) except when he is awake very early or when we are travelling.

  • He sleeps from 18:30 or earlier or later dependant on his naptime, and then wakes up about 12 hours later. Normally he doesn't wake up at night. He mostly naps in his bed and falls asleep on his own. During trips or when he has a hard time sleeping (mostly when he has 2 naps) we have walked him to sleep with the carriage or buggy.

Motor development

  • Is still cruising and walking with his little carriage or when you hold his hands, not independently yet.

  • Crawls up and down the stairs and loves it. He is quite of a climber, bringing his little stool or chair to put it somewhere and use it to climb somewhere.

  • He waves and point to things.

  • Still puts everything in his mouth.

Social-emotional development

  • He is a little person with his own needs now. He is fighting for his place in the family and can now try to push his sister away when she is sitting on their dad's lap.

  • Likes to play with cars and other moving things, climb, being outside but not too long. Loves his big sister and wants to play with her (he has a role of a horse or a dog in some of her games). Absolutely doesn't want that his clothes are put on and that his diaper is changed.

Statistics:

79 cm and 9,185 kg, wears size 80 now.

Schedule:

6:30 awake, gets dressed, teeth and downstairs

6:45 breakfast

10:00 snack

11:30 lunch

11:45 nap (1,5-2 h)

Around 14:30 snack
